What Makes Us Special

Our teacher training courses are aimed to install in our student teachers, the highest quality of teaching practice. So that you leave the course with an internationally recognised qualification to Level 4 NVQ standards.

Successful completion of our teacher training courses will provide the student with a British Wheel of Yoga Certificate (24 months) or Diploma (36 months) qualification. If you choose to pursue the Certificate course you will have the option to enrol in a subsequent Progression Course to achieve the full BWY Diploma.

Our courses are predominately face to face as we believe only this approach leads to great yoga teachers. As well as making the learning process more enjoyable.

The courses will be led by experienced BWY Diploma Course Tutors.

Our approach is to bring out our students’ own personalities and yoga style within the structure of best yoga practice. This takes hard work and consistent application over a 24-36 month training course.

BWY Certificate and Diploma and Progression qualifications are awarded by BWY Qualifications who are recognised by Ofqual.  The Teacher Training Courses are registered within the national Regulated Qualification Framework.

Our Approach

All courses are a combination of tutor-led contact days and home study and will involve a monthly attendance at the course venue on a Saturday. In addition there will be a voluntary one-hour online Q&A session held each month.

You will be given all the necessary tools to help you start your own class with the skills and confidence to build your own yoga following

As well as completing the course assignments, you will be observed on your teaching practice.  You will be fully prepared for this experience and although often students are nervous, please see it as a way of improving your teaching and enhancing the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to be a good teacher.

Student teachers will be fully insured so that you will be able to start teaching whilst the course is running.
